Hello!! I'm Shirley
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of learners—from children taking their first steps in English to adults and professionals looking to consolidate their language skills. Furthermore, specializing in teaching Spanish to foreigners (ELE) has allowed me to forge deep connections with those who choose La Gomera as their new home.
For me, a language is not just grammar and vocabulary; it is a living tool. That is why my teaching philosophy moves away from traditional rote memorization in favor of a fully communicative approach. In my classes, I prioritize participation, empathy, and constant adaptation to each student's pace, ensuring that learning is always practical, natural, and—above all—stress-free.
Whether in our classrooms on the island or via the screen, my goal is to give you the confidence and motivation you need to communicate successfully.
